✨Storytime✨
(This took place maybe 10 minutes ago -- at about 12:25am)
So I was just innocently lying on my bed, reading on my laptop.
Suddenly, something fell onto my bed. Right next to me.
Naturally, I freaked out and got up. I'm pretty sure the thing was a cockroach.
Now, at this moment, my brain thought that the only logical solution to this problem was to go into my brother's room and find the torch (that he stole from me by the way) that he has in there. So I was searching for this torch on his bedside table, and because it was dark, I couldn't find it.
I am a very intelligent human, so my next idea was to wake my brother up to see if he knew where the torch was.
Yes, I am aware that light switches exist. Well, I am now at least.
So I woke my brother up and he was, of course, very annoyed and said he didn't know where the torch was. So THEN I turned on his bedroom light, in an attempt to see the torch. He got very angry because of the light.
It was only at this moment that I turned on a different light and looked in my room.
Of course, since I had spent several minutes trying to find a torch, the creature was gone.
I spent a while looking for it. No success. I considered just going out to sleep on the couch, but that would mean that I wouldn't have been able to read/blog/do stuff on my laptop. So I just gave up.
The creature could be anywhere. Like it could be still on my bed, even though I flicked out the sheets. It could be under/inside my bed. It could be on my bookshelves. OH NOO NOT MY BOOKSHELVES (oh and by the way I bought four more books today, in my defense one was for my friend). I'm kinda scared honestly. I wish I knew where it was.
So yep. There's some fuel to help me stay up really late... and possibly not sleep at all.
It's times like these when reading in the middle of the night is useful. I mean, what if I had been asleep when that cockroach had dropped right next to me on my bed?
