I had been long waiting to read this book. It is very very very popular, which you probably know since you’re bothering to read this post.
As you probably know, I have previously read the Shadow and Bone trilogy. I would like to really emphasise that Six of Crows is a lot lot better than Shadow and Bone. Which is a fact that is probably already apparent but still.
I really like the characters in this book. They all kinda hated each other at times which made them get along, if that makes any sense? I would go so far as to say that they are ICONIC.
I don’t know what it is about this book that was so appealing to me and so many other people. Like it’s kind of generic in my opinion, but at the same time I’ve never seen anything like it?
I’m just going to say this really randomly but I VERY MUCH SHIP JESPER AND WYLAN. VERY VERY MUCH.
Oh and also I would recommend reading Shadow and Bone before this. It’s not because Shadow and Bone was good, and it’s not because you have to read it to understand stuff. It’s kinda just because there are some mentions in the book that you will get if you read SaB before it, and that’s a good feeling, like knowing stuff the characters and maybe some other readers don’t. Heheh.
But yeah. GREAT BOOK. I’m so glad to finally have read it!

*This age recommendation is only my opinion. Some younger people might feel comfortable reading this book, and some older people might not. That's fine, either way. Warning for many potentially upsetting themes (including involuntary prostitution), weird kissing stuff, violence, lots of gore, sexual references/themes and swearing.
