Let It Snow - Book Review

This is perhaps the first actual romance book I've ever read. For the record, I didn't even realise it was romance until after I had bought it -- I bought it because John Green. I actually tried to start reading it in September but I got sad and stopped reading because it was nowhere near Christmas then, but obviously I've read it now. Christmas is in about two weeks so I was in the mood to read a Christmas book. I can literally hear my brother singing Christmas songs in the shower right now by the way.
Ok so this book was sweet but kinda very American in my opinion. In case you somehow haven't figured this out, I am not American. In fact, I live in a country which is, in a way, quite the opposite to the US at Christmas. So all the snow and Waffle House etc. was kinda funny and charmingly cringey to me. I wonder what Christmas in the US is actually like... if there are any American blog readers here: 1. how did you find me and 2. what is Christmas actually like in the US?
One thing I very much enjoyed about Let It Snow was the fact that the three short stories were intertwined -- like characters talking to/about each other and stuff. It's no secret that I enjoy books set in small towns and this was one of them so yay.
I'm not sure which story I liked the most. Like I didn't really really like any of them, but they were still good, you know? Unfortunately I was a bit disappointed with John's story. It was definitely more his random-silly style than his style that I prefer -- the style that Turtles was written in. I dunno if that makes sense haha. I also didn't like the way that the characters objectified women.
My favourite character was Gabriel. Gabriel is bae. I ranted to my friends at school about him. <3
I think that's all I have to say for now to be honest. It was kinda sweet but also confusing because it was a romance book.

Let It Snow by John Green, Maureen Johnson and Lauren Myracle, 12+* ★★★

*This age recommendation is only my opinion. Some younger people might feel comfortable reading this book, and some older people might not. That's fine, either way. Warning for weird kissing stuff, sexual references, and potentially upsetting themes.
