Scattered Showers - Book Review

Ok so somehow I managed to accidentally read another romance book. But this one was better than the other one, thank goodness.
This was a collection of short stories. They were all really sweet in my opinion. I mainly bought this book because there was a short story based on the Simon Snow trilogy, and the short story for that did not disappoint me. I missed the characters and world so much.
It was so weird that some of the stories mentioned covid though. This is the first book I’ve read that has mentioned covid and it was a really surreal feeling. I experienced a historical event! I also appreciated the discussions of its impact on mental health in some of the stories.
To be honest I was a little disappointed because almost all the relationships in the stories were straight. There is literally a rainbow on the cover. Actually... maybe that's because the author's name is Rainbow... that would make sense.
Yeah, so most of the stories were really sweet. The last one was brutal though. What a way to end the book.
There were some beautiful illustrations in this book. Those were super cool. This book was really pretty!!

*This age recommendation is only my opinion. Some younger people might feel comfortable reading this book, and some older people might not. That's fine, either way. Warning for homophobic characters, allergic reactions, sexual references, covid and potentially upsetting themes.
